「超能天氣」一名取自日文，代表四人出身迴異，卻「超級樂天」的共通點。我們過去一年跟很多香港人一樣走過高山低谷，但在迷霧中仍希望能本着樂天知命的根性，繼續以音樂嬉笑怒罵。
Formed in 2016, Chonotenki literally means ‘super happy-go-lucky’ in Japanese and embodies our enthusiasm for life and our passion for music. We are all very different but were brought together by a perfect climate. Even though Hong Kong is going through its ups and downs, we’d still like to be our happy-go-lucky selves and ‘funk up’ Hong Kong with our music.

「超能天氣」Chonotenki這個有趣的獨立樂隊名字，是源自日文「のうてんき」(能天氣／notenki)，那是用來形容一個人性格輕率、漫不經心的樣子，另一方面也有凡事都會好轉的含意。由Jordan、Wes、Scottie和Allen所組成的「超能天氣」，在其陽光燦爛、散發著城市氣息的暢快搖滾曲式下，「樂天」是他們的音樂個性。「超能天氣」所發表過的幾首歌曲如〈怪現象〉、〈JUSTINCASEJUSTINCASE〉、〈麻甩嬉皮〉、〈廁紙〉，叫人聽得到樂隊的幽默感與嬉笑怒罵態度，還有是呈現出地道廣東歌／粵語歌的真締，很有香港本土味道。
