Just a Broken Machine不僅僅是一個樂隊的名字,它更是一種原始情感,和一個真誠的、脆弱的宣告。最初,它是主腦Hydra Lam 的個人Project ,身為主唱的她同時負責了所有編曲部分和樂器演奏,包括結他及鋼琴,並以空靈的歌聲和自創的語言去訴說對於自身感到殘缺、存在Bug的故事。

隨後Hydra邀請了 Rhythm結他手Joe Leung、貝斯手 Maka 、鼓手 Nghokhim加入,便組成了現在的樂隊。他們一起創造一個夢幻、超凡脫俗的氛圍,營造淒美又浪漫的聲音。

如果要去形容Just a Broken Machine 的音樂類別,也可以歸類為Dream pop,但身為專業音樂製作人Hydra有著獨特且多元化的音樂口味,所以實際上你會發現Just a Broken Machine的音樂裡包括了很多不同的元素,例如Post Rock, House, Math Rock, Jazz。

Just a Broken Machine 每場現場表演都是一種宣洩情緒的體驗,在每一個音符和每一個詞語都注入了他們的心血。Hydra 覺得音樂是一種共震,並希望觀眾能感受到他們灌注的情感:「我們都是壞掉的機器,但正是這些缺陷使我們成為更好的自己。

Just a Broken Machine is not just a band name, it represents a raw emotion and a sincere, vulnerable declaration. Initially, it was a personal project of the lead vocalist, Hydra Lam, who was responsible for all the arrangements and musical instrument playing, including guitar and piano, and expressed her stories of feeling incomplete and having bugs through her ethereal vocals and original lyrics. Later, She invited her bandmates to join her in crafting a surreal, otherworldly atmosphere and bittersweet yet romantic sounds.

While their music could be classified as dream pop, Hydra's diverse musical tastes means you'll find a blend of post-rock, electronica, math rock, and jazz in JABM 's sound.

Each live performance of Just a Broken Machine is an emotional release. Every note and word is full of dedication. Hydra feels that music is a resonance and hopes that the audience can feel their emotions: "We are all broken machines, but it is these defects that make us a better self."
